Join Team Take Hold
Serving on a team is a great way to get connected at Take Hold Church. As you use your talents and gifts, you find yourself making a difference in the lives of others and a part of something larger than any one of us. Whether it is providing a welcome as a host, helping set up or tear down, serving in tech, or investing in children, you can find your place on a serving team at Take Hold.
Why should I join a Team?
Joining a team is one of the best ways to grow in community, use your gifts, and become more connected to the life of the church. Serving helps move faith from something we attend to something we participate in, creating spaces where people can encounter Jesus together.
Do I need experience to serve?
Not at all. Many of our teams are designed for people to learn as they go, and training and support are provided along the way. Whether you have served in church for years or never before, there is a place for you.
How often am I expected to serve?
Each team works a little differently, but we want serving to be sustainable and life giving, not overwhelming. Most teams serve on a rota, and we will help you find a rhythm that fits your season and availability.
What can I expect after I sign up?
After you submit an interest form, one of our team leaders will reach out to introduce themselves and arrange a time to connect.
That conversation is simply an opportunity to get to know one another. We’ll share more about the team, hear your story, answer any questions you have, and help you discover whether it’s the right fit for you.
Some teams have additional steps before serving, such as safeguarding requirements, PVG checks, musical auditions, or role-specific training. Your team leader will explain anything unique to your role during your conversation.
If you decide to move forward, we’ll help you get connected, provide any training you need, introduce you to the team, and support you as you begin serving.
Our hope is that serving becomes more than something you do. We want it to be a place where you build friendships, grow in your faith, discover your gifts, and help others encounter Jesus.
Kids Team
Help create a safe, joyful, and faith filled environment where children can encounter Jesus and grow in community each week.
Youth Team
Walk alongside young people as they explore faith, build friendships, and learn what it means to follow Jesus in everyday life.
Sunday Teams
Help create welcoming and meaningful Sunday gatherings through hospitality, setup, teardown, baking, and practical behind the scenes support.
Media & Production Team
Serve behind the scenes through audio, visuals, photography, and technical support that helps our gatherings run smoothly.
Worship Team
Lead our church in responding to God through music, helping create space for people to encounter Him in worship.
Prayer Team
Cover our church, our city, and our gatherings in prayer through faithful intercession throughout the week and on Sundays.
Outreach Team
Join in serving and connecting with our city through practical care, presence, and initiatives that reflect the love of Jesus beyond the church walls.
